Cloning myself!

It's been a busy week for me, hence why you haven't heard much from me... It's not going to get any quieter either! The other night I was bored and wanted to do a little experiment with Helicon Focus, the stacking software I had mentioned in a previous blog entry. I was wondering if I were to take two identical pictures, with me in each photo but in different positions, when the pictures were stacked would it display me clearly in each picture in both positions. Are you still with me?

I set up my tripod, and decided to try and picture myself shaking my own hand (I told you I was bored....!). Anyway, long story short it didn't work. However, I'd still got nothing better to do so decided to try a different, less lazy method. Here is the resultant image...

Me Myself and I
Me, Myself, and I
There was no real reason for me taking this picture, so I haven't corrected any of the lens distortion or anything. It's really easy to do, I used Photoshop Elements 10 to create the final image. There are plenty of good guides online already about how to do this, however, I'll try to blog a short walk through on how I did this particular shot at some point over the next week or so.
