The results are in!

The most recent photo challenge entitled 'running away from the camera' came to a close at mid-day today, and the results were posted on the challenges website. I've been trying to submit an entry every week, but this week really struggled to find the time to make a decent effort. I'd had a few ideas that were 'out of the box', but just couldn't get round to making them a reality. Therefore my entry was a simple interpretation of the challenge title.

As I was struggling for time my shot was taken in very low light in my back garden, I kept the shutter speed as short as possible to minimise motion blur, and the final result isn't too bad. I quite like the colour of the sky, and I kind of like the fact you have to look in to the picture properly to spot me. I suppose wearing all black for a night time shot wasn't the best of ideas, but, oh well!

I was surprised to see only four entries this week, but I liked them all. Pauls stood out as usual, and I like the terrain Jonathan managed to capture. I also liked Kirsty's for her action shot, and funky hat!! If you want to take a look at the results you can do so here.

This weeks challenge is based around it being a leap year, and is therefore called 'Leap'. As me and Paul have discussed on the page, there are various ways of interpreting this challenge, and I look forward to seeing what people come up with. I have some ideas, but as usual I don't always have the time to commit to them, so I'll have to see what happens this week.

Anyway, why don't you try the challenge for yourself?! It's a great way of getting to know people with similar interests to you, and it gives you an excuse to get out and about with your camera! Say hi at the meet and greet page, and submit your leap photo by next Tuesday!
