Into the light

Sorry I'm blogging a day late, it's been manic! Last weeks photo challenge was entitled 'Into the light'. There were several ways of interpreting this challenge, and I had a couple of ideas in my head...

Anyway, after a really busy week, I'd resided to the fact that I wasn't going to be able to submit an entry. I was pretty gutted as this would have been the first time since January!

The good news is, that at the last minute I found some time to take some photos. I decided to photograph the sprouting leaves of some plants my dad was growing, as plants obviously grow 'into the light'.

This is the photograph I decided to enter. I played around with it quite a lot in photoshop, I'm fairly pleased with the final result.

There seems to have been a huge increase in entries since I started getting back in to the challenge. There were some excellent entries this week, my favourites are below.

Melissa
Capiro (Again!)
Paul Allen

This weeks challenge is entitled 'magazine cover'

This is a Challenge that we covered a few years ago under Stu’s watchful eye, but I thought we’d try it again. Your Challenge is to take a photograph and make it into a magazine cover. Don’t worry if that sounds hard – there are plenty of online magazine generators where you simply upload your picture and choose which magazine you want to make.
I recommend FakeMagazineCover.com because it has the widest choice of templates, but you can use any site you like (there are loads on Google), or if you’re feeling brave, you can create your own magazine from scratch!
Your picture can be of anything at all, so long as it suits the theme of the magazine you choose. Why not pop down to your local newsagent and have a look at the various styles of photography that appear on the covers of magazines?
Please send your completed magazine covers in by noon on Tuesday 24th April. Good luck!

Sounds a bit different, doesn't it?! I'm quite looking forward to it actually, a chance to get my creative head on. I have a subject in mind already too!
